Recycling, reusing, and repurposing is our mission statement! We believe this business model is important piece of the puzzle in the pressing ecological need of creating less waste on the planet. We are passionate about intelligent consumption reinventing, and all that is interior design.  

Optimist’s Bazaar, LLC opened in 2020 under the helm of Betsy Peckenpaugh. She has lived in metro Milwaukee all her life, was educated at Milwaukee School of the Arts (MIAD), and for the last 25 years has been a successful entrepreneur as owner of uncommon walls – an interior design and remodeling firm. In 2009 her home was featured in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s “At Home” series, and several of her decorated rooms for local interior design showhouses have been published in national magazines. Combining her passion for art, decorating and her love for the environment led her to open Optimist’s Bazaar, a fabulous fine furniture consignment shop!

“With the success of uncommon walls and my perspective as a fine artist, I now plan to create and maintain an exciting tradition of optimist shopping and consigning (named after my maternal grandmother’s charitable endeavors), in a curated showroom in Wauwatosa, WI called Optimist’s Bazaar”.
